‘REVEALED’… showcases the work of abstract artists Ashley Hanson and Sophie Capron, strikingly individualistic yet complimentary, connected through the materiality of paint - transformed by time - and their response to place and memory.
‘REVEALED’… is both artists captivation with the interactions of man and nature in both subject and process, evident in Sophie’s visual simulations of ‘how nature and time encroach on the flawless wall or immaculate façade’ and shorthanded in Ashley’s coastal work by the frisson between the curved and the linear, geometry and gesture.

A 2 day ZOOM workshop mixing/making/working with the beautiful and evocative colour BLUE...Why blue, which blue, how blue? The colour blue in painting is rich in symbolism, meaning, emotion: working with our own subject, over the 2 days in the workshop we’ll explore the qualities, differences, and uses of blue in our paintings.

It's good to be getting the work out again in galleries around the country, plus we have news of a major sale with Rise Art! I have 4 paintings on show in 'Visions of Sugarplums' at AKA Contemporary, Cambridge. and 'Porthleven 60 (The Gap)' is in The Winter Show at Linden Hall Studio in Deal. 'Padstow 4', 'Penzance 15' and 'BOOK 16 (The Three Princes' can be seen at Cupola Contemporary in Sheffield. We are very pleased to announce that 'City of Glass 14 (Dialogue) has been recently sold through Rise Art and is now at its new home in London.

Many of you attend our courses and return each year and we really want to thank-you for your continued support. This is why from this year we are introducing a loyalty programme for bookings for our courses and workshops from 2023 and onwards.
How Does It Work?
If you attend four courses or workshops (including online workshops) - with at least one being a course in Cornwall - you will be eligible for a 'Penzance 9 ' Signed, Limited Edition (50) giclee on archival quality paper. The image 30x40cms is an identical size to the original painting.
This is an ongoing scheme and there will be an alternate print available in 2023 if you already have 'Penzance 9'. Please note you can only qualify for one of our schemes/offer's in each calendar year.
You will receive your print by post or at the attendance of your fourth course/workshop.
